This privacy notice explains how Deep Fathom, Inc. ("Deep Fathom," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Boundary Advisor widget embedded on third-party websites.

When you use the Boundary Advisor widget, we may collect:

Information You Provide​

  • Organization name — The name of your company or organization
  • Email address — Provided when you choose to get started or request more information
  • Assessment responses — Your answers to questions about your organization's IT environment, compliance targets, and operational characteristics

Automatically Collected Information​

  • Device information — Browser type, operating system, and screen size
  • Usage data — How you interact with the widget, including pages viewed and features used
  • Referral information — The website where you accessed the widget and any attribution parameters (e.g., partner ID, campaign codes)

How We Use Your Information​

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the service — Generate personalized CMMC boundary strategy recommendations based on your assessment responses
  • Connect you with partners — Share your information with the partner whose website you used to access the widget, so they can follow up with relevant compliance services
  • Improve our products — Analyze usage patterns to enhance the Boundary Advisor experience
  • Communicate with you — Send information about your assessment results and related Deep Fathom services, if you've provided your email

How We Share Your Information​

We share your information with:

  • Partners — When you use the Boundary Advisor on a partner's website and submit your email, we share your contact information and assessment results with that partner so they can provide you with compliance services
  • Service providers — Third parties who help us operate our services (e.g., hosting, analytics)

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this notice. Assessment data is typically retained for 24 months, after which it may be anonymized or deleted.

  • Deletion — You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions
  • Opt-out of communications — You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those messages

  • Right to know — You can request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you
  • Right to delete — You can request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions
